Terms of service
The terms, in plain language.
Last updated 10 October 2026.
Who we are
Embryologics is run by Medical Interventions Private Limited (CIN U74999TG2016PTC109835), Hyderabad, Telangana, India (“we”, “us”). These terms cover embryologics.com and app.embryologics.com. By creating an account, or by paying for anything, you agree to them. If you use Embryologics for a lab or a clinic, you agree on its behalf and confirm you may.
What we offer
- Free for everyone: the quiz, the Excel tools, the troubleshooting library, the atlas and the patient pages.
- Daily QC for a lab: the virtual lab, daily quality control, CAPA and KPIs. Your first lab is free for 90 days, then it is a subscription.
- Accreditation for a lab: a twelve-month accreditation year, with a certificate issued at its end if the lab's record met every published rule over the year.
- The Academy for an embryologist: an exam per level, with a certificate for a pass.
Current prices are on the pricing page.
Your account
- One account per person. Give your real name and email, keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- You are responsible for what is done from your account. A lab's owner decides who joins the lab and what role they have.
- You can close your account at any time. See the privacy notice for what is deleted and what the law makes us keep.
Using Embryologics properly
You agree not to:
- enter or upload anything that identifies a patient: names, hospital numbers, dates of birth, reports or images with identifiers;
- record readings you did not take, enter them for days you did not check, or upload a document that is not genuine;
- copy, share or publish Academy or quiz questions, or sit an exam for someone else or with help;
- try to reach data that is not yours, test our security without our written permission, overload the service or scrape it;
- use Embryologics to break the law or to mislead anyone, including patients.
We may suspend an account that does any of these. Where it is safe to, we tell you why first and give you a chance to answer.
Your lab's data stays your lab's
- The records a lab keeps here — readings, units, CAPAs, KPIs and documents — belong to the lab. We use them only to run the service for the lab and, if it applies, to judge it for accreditation.
- A lab can read, print and export its record at any time, including when it is read-only.
- To keep the record honest, a reading cannot be changed or deleted once recorded; a correction is added beside it. That is what makes the record worth trusting.
- We do not sell lab records or show them to other labs.
Clinic confidentiality
We never name the labs or clinics that use Embryologics. Nothing that identifies a lab is made public except what its own certificate shows on its verification page, and that only once the lab is accredited. Our people see a lab's record only to support it, to check its documents, or to look into a flag on its record.
Not medical advice
Everything on Embryologics — the pages, the assistant, the tools, the quiz and the Academy — is for education and quality management. It is not medical advice and does not replace your clinic, your lab's own procedures or a manufacturer's instructions for use. A QC flag tells you to look; what to do about it is your lab's professional decision.
Daily QC subscriptions
- The free lab. Each person's first lab is free for 90 days from the day it is created. A second lab needs a subscription from its first day. Joining someone else's lab is free.
- Prepaid periods. Daily QC is paid a month or a year at a time, in advance, per lab. A new payment adds its period to the end of any period already paid.
- No proration. A period is charged in full, whenever in it you start. All fees are final: see the refunds and cancellations policy.
- Read-only at the end, never deleted. When a free or paid period ends without a new payment, the lab becomes read-only: it can still be read, printed and exported, but no new readings, units, checks, CAPAs or KPIs can be added. Everything is kept, and the lab opens again as soon as it is paid for.
- Cancelling. Nothing renews by itself, so to cancel you simply don't pay for the next period. We remind the lab by email 30, 7 and 1 days before a period ends.
- Agreed prices. If we agree a different price or period with a lab in writing, that agreement applies to that lab.
- Price changes. We give at least 30 days' notice of a new price. A period already paid is never repriced.
- The accreditation year includes Daily QC. Paying for a lab's accreditation adds twelve months of Daily QC recording. A subscription already paid is paused for the accreditation year and resumes after it, with the days it had left. After that the lab subscribes to keep recording and pays the yearly renewal to stay accredited; the renewal does not include Daily QC.
Accreditation
- Applying. From day 90 of daily QC, a lab with every essential unit in use and its required documents validated may apply. Paying the accreditation fee starts a twelve-month accreditation year.
- Rule-based. The lab's record is checked every night against the rules published on the accreditation page, including readings on at least 75% of working days. There are no signatories and nobody can issue a certificate as a favour.
- Judged over the year. At the end of the accreditation year the whole year is judged. If every rule was met, the certificate is issued, mailed and published. If not, no certificate is issued and we tell the lab which rules were missed; the lab may keep recording with a Daily QC subscription and apply again, with a new application and fee.
- Documents. The lab's owner attests that every document uploaded is genuine and unaltered. Documents must never carry patient identifiers.
- Integrity checks. Patterns that suggest a record is not genuine send the lab for review instead of issuing. We may then hold or decline the certificate, and we tell the lab why.
- Live status. The certificate's public page shows whether the lab is compliant as of today. A lab that stops meeting the rules shows it.
- A year at a time. A certificate lasts a year. The yearly renewal needs an active Daily QC subscription; once it is paid, the last twelve months are judged on the day the certificate ends, and the certificate is extended for a year if every rule was met.
- Revocation. We may revoke a certificate if an attestation, a document or a record turns out to be false, or if the payment for it is reversed. A revoked certificate says so on its public page.
- What it means. Accreditation says the lab keeps its quality controls as the rules require. It says nothing about clinical outcomes and is not a licence to practise.
The Academy
- One sitting per payment. Each payment buys one sitting of one level. To sit again, you pay again, and a new paper is drawn.
- 75 minutes. The clock starts when you open the paper and does not stop. Answers are saved as you give them, and every saved answer is marked when time runs out.
- Fees are final. See the refunds and cancellations policy.
- Your certificate. A pass earns the certificate for that level, in the name you confirm before starting, with its own public page. A certificate gained by breaking these terms may be revoked.
The quiz
The quiz is free. It awards badges and places on leaderboards, never money or prizes.
Payments and invoices
- Prices are worked out on our server when a payment starts. In India they are in rupees, plus 18% GST; everywhere else they are in US dollars. The billing country is fixed when the payment starts.
- Payments go through Razorpay in India and PayPal elsewhere, or by bank transfer. Card and bank details go to them, never to us.
- Every payment gets a tax invoice. Outside India, any tax your own country charges on services bought from abroad is yours to account for.
- All fees are final; billing errors and chargebacks are covered by the refunds and cancellations policy.
Content you send us
Images you submit to the atlas or Image of the Month are covered by the contribution licence. Everything else on Embryologics — text, questions, tools and design — is ours, and you may use it for your own learning and your own lab, not to republish or sell.
Keeping the service running
We work to keep Embryologics available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may improve or change features; if a change takes away something you have paid for, we will tell you and put it right.
Responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for clinical decisions made using Embryologics, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute goes to the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, which have exclusive jurisdiction. Please write to us first; most things can be put right quickly.
